Given that the coat has been made in Italy for 40 years now, we are increasingly faced with interventions carried out when technology had not yet gained today's experience. In particular, the most visible defects are those due to improvised poses that have not yet been regulated by recognized European manuals. The most common defects manifest with cracks and chipping at the joints between the panels (caused by imperfect alignment of the slabs) and in the famous mattress effect (usually caused by a lack of adhesion). However, even small defects of this kind can over time allow the entry of rainwater and subsequent swelling of the coating.
