PROBLEM: Antiquing paint or coating with siloxane glaze

To antique already painted or raw surfaces is an ongoing problem.

The tight deadlines available to the decorator and the lack of skilled personnel capable of preparing products suitable for each construction site often becomes a weak point.

The siloxane glaze SILOX VEL is the solution to all these problems.

The glazing technique gives the decorator the possibility to achieve different and always new results because the final appearance is linked to several factors:

  • the dilution of the product
  • the creativity of the decorator
  • the type of base
  • - smooth or rough
  • - more or less regular
  • - more or less absorbent
  • the finishing tool:
  • brush
  • sponge
  • sponge float
  • glove

    A good result can be achieved by applying as a base a layer of "SEVEN" leveling filler with a civil finish, based on elasto-siloxane resins.

    On a perfectly dry and aged surface, apply SILOX VEL, a breathable veiled finish, waterproof, resistant to mold and algae growth, based on siloxanes in aqueous emulsion, diluted up to a maximum of 25%. Depending on the desired effect, the product can be spread and finished using a sea sponge, sponge float, glove, or brush, in the latter case it is not recommended for rustic bases.
