Home - Issues and Solutions - Indoor Solutions - How to renew old paint damaged by condensation and mold
In old service areas: bathrooms, kitchens, storage areas, lack of adequate insulation causes condensation of water vapor with considerable deterioration of the paint and formation of mold. Reduce the formation of condensation with l’ use of special paints that lower the thermal difference between l’ external and l’ interior of the wall, allows to render more? healthy and livable l’ environment.
1. Treat any mold with BIOCID algaecide and fungicide solution.
2. Remove any old flaky or peeling paint with suitable brushing.
3. Clean and remove all traces of dirt and dust.
4. Make any possible fillings with KARTOFULLER powder filler for smooth finishes or LAMPOLITE R650 for fine civil finishes.
5. Apply a coat of fixative all’ water, micro-emulsified, strongly penetrated, appropriately diluted, FIXACRIL and wait 24 hours by brush or roller.
6. Apply two or more? hands with a brush or roller of special anti-condensation water-based paint, heat-insulating, resistant to mold growth, for interiors, based on hollow microbubbles, TERMOCASA, with a yield of 8-10 m2 / l per coat.
