The main factors that influence the growth and spread of all microorganisms (in our case mold, fungi and algae) are the following: water, temperature and nutrients.
1. Water: in the absence of water life cannot? develop accordingly there is no possibility? growth of molds, fungi and algae in the substrates, whether they are plasters, wood, paint, or coatings of any kind.
2. Temperature: The speed? of reproduction of microorganisms and? affected by temperature. Low temperatures slow it down while in the 26-rsquo; range between 20° C and 35° C optimal conditions are achieved for rapid growth.
3. Nutrients: In addition to the 26-rsquo; water the microorganisms need nutrients such as: nitrogen, carbon, phosphorus, etc. These substances can be contained in the different substrates, or be deposited with dirt or atmospheric dust.
1. Sterilizing treatment of all the surfaces of the room (even those not contaminated) with algaecide solution and BIOCID fungicide spread with a brush.
2. After at least 24 hours from the 26-rd application, proceed with the mechanical cleaning of the treated surfaces by brushing, scraping or sanding. In case of strong concentrations of mold, repeat the treatment.
3. Two-coat application of washable water-based paint for interiors, highly resistant to mold growth, MUFFANO ?. Alternatively, water-repellent, breathable, resistant to mold growth, ACRYLFAST or transpiring paint resistant to the growth of SANEX mold. In the case of chalking or poorly cohesive surfaces, first apply a coat of fixative all’ strong penetration water FIXACRIL properly diluted and wait 6-8 hours.
